Analytics are cookieless
My Vehicle Advice does not use marketing or advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Our analytics are cookieless. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to measure page use, devices, countries, referrers, funnel progress and product interaction. It does this without storing any cookies on your device and without advertising or cross-site identifiers.
Analytics never store your notes text, payment IDs or email address.
The one cookie we do use
We use a single strictly necessary functional cookie ("mvi_selection") that temporarily remembers the vehicle selection you are putting together, so returning to the site does not make you start over. It stores only your in-progress choices, contains no personal identifiers, and is automatically deleted after 1 day (or as soon as your report is purchased).
Because this cookie is strictly necessary and our analytics are cookieless, no cookie-consent banner is required for either.
Future changes
If cookie use changes in a later version of the product, this policy will be updated so that the current use is described here clearly.
